My Review

               2 I didn't like it Stars

Okay here is the deal... I just all around didn't like this book! I have read and liked plenty of Clean romances(meaning no sex) but I have never read a Amish romance. I thought I would give this book a try. Now I wish I hadn't. Right out the gate all the Amish language was annoying me. I had to try and figure out what each thing meant. Gott, Haus, Schweschder, Denke, Jah, Grossdaddi, Nee, Boppli, Vadder, Familye, Bruder, Wunderbaar, Fraa, Kinner, Gut, Dat, Mamm, Bu, Englischer, Mudder, Kaffe, Just to name a few. And of course there was no word key so my lazy butt had to look up all these words on google.

On top of that I knew going into this book it would be a slow burn and most likely clean but there was no romance at all. Just Anita telling her brother over and over that she doesn't want a husband because her husband just died. Simon and Anita maybe spend like 2% of the book together and the rest of the book is about Anita living with her jerk of a brother Amos. Man did I hate Amos. He was a bully jerk who was rude to his brother n law, rude to his wife and rude to his sister. He just made me want to rip my hair out. I felt bad for anyone that had to be around Amos! The book skipped around a lot and was very superficial. There was no meat to the hero, heroine, or the plot. Overall I was just bored and annoyed. So yet just not my cuppa!

My Review

Ok first off I think the story was very long winded and that pages could have been edited out and it would have made the story flow better. There where part I didn't understand. The main story has a good base to it where she could build a nice series but I didn't really care for Alison.. She was a flippin crybaby My God she was crying every 5 seconds and she cried every time they had sex or talked or the wind blew.......

Kerrick I liked I love that he is a sweet man and I enjoyed his caveman moments lol I like the others brothers too. His brothers n law was a jerk but I can understand he is hurting too. overall not too bad.

Bookshelves Project

So as many of you know I decided to go through all my books and get rid of the ones I will never read!  What was I thinking?  My God it took forever......of course I came down with the flu and that slowed me a lot.  Anyways I had 2004 books to start with!  I got rid of 435, here they are pictured below!

That left me with 1569 books in my house!  Or what my husband calls my mini library! Here are the pictures of my 9 bookshelves after I finished!

So there you have it! A look at my bookshelves and all I have to say after that big ass job is #BookHoarder4life

Hi Everyone

Hi Guys it's Jessica.  I just wanted to stop by and drop a few lines since I haven't posted anything on my blog in a while.  I have been sick with the flu and it kicked my ass.  Before I was sick my kids were sick, then my husband, then my mom and so on and so onnnnnn....

Now that I am feeling slightly human again I wanted to make this post and let you guys know some of the  things I am going to be doing with my blog and reading this year.

1st off I am sorry but I'm no long taking review request.  I hate to do that because I have found some great books through request, but the truth is I have been so overwhelmed by the number of request. Between that, my Netgalley arcs, and my own reading list it's starting to stress me out.  I don't want reading to become a chore. Reading is my passion and I don't want to make it not fun by forcing myself.

2nd I am going to be making a post on my blog at least every Friday.  I may do more than one post a week but I will for sure do at least one!

3rd  I am going to start doing a freebie post once a month.

On another note right before I got the flu I got a wild hair up my butt and decided that I have too many books in my house and that I should go through them and get rid of the ones I will never read.

Whaattt?? Too many books??? There is no such thing!  I know, but when I first started reading I would go binge buy at yard sales, used books stores or anywhere I could find super cheap books.  I didn't even read the synopsis I just bought any and all romance books.  So I am not going to get rid of any that sound good just the ones I know I won't read.

The fact that I have over 2000 books in one house is also playing a small part in it.  I mean my God my book hoarding has gotten outta control.  I have 9 bookshelves and a closet with two totes full of books.  And the bookshelves are double stacked.

So yea I may have a bit of a problem. I will be posting a blog post with pics when I'm all done so you all can see the hot mess.

So that is what's going on with me.  I hope everyone is safe, healthy, and reading some amazing books!

My Review

4.5 My Warrior, My Husband Stars

I just love the Order of the Dragon Knight series so much. I loved Fiona's brothers from book 3 and was so excited to not only get to dive back into the magical world of the Dragon Knights but to see Desmond get his story. I loved both Desmond and Ailsa. Both were warriors and protectors. Both respected each other for who they truly were. They had a great connection and lots of steamy passion. I also loved getting to catch up with some of the past Dragon Knight couples. I will say that I still hope that Mary Morgan gives Brigid and Duncan a miracle baby. I know Brigid can't have babies and they adopted Nell and Finn but I really would love to see them have a little baby. That being said I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read Fiona's other two brothers books and maybe Finn will get a book too.
