The Blurb:
IT HAPPENED IN VEGAS.

I can't be held responsible. Things that happen there are supposed to stay there, right? Right? Yeeeah. Not so much.

Andie's just days away from tying the knot, but there's just ooooone little glitch. Apparently, she's already married. Or someone with her name is married to a guy out in Oregon of all places, and the courthouse won't issue her a marriage license until it's all cleared up. Tripping her way through cow pies and country songs to meet up with a man who gets around places on horseback is her very last idea of how to have a good time, but if she's going to get married, make partner at the firm, and have two point five kids before she's thirty-five, she needs to get to the bottom of this snafu and fix it quick ... before her fiance finds out and everything she's been working toward goes up in flames.

My Review

                     5 Cowboy up Stars

“If you really, really want me to stop touching you, I will. I swear it But if you want me to keep touching you, all you have to do is say please, and it’ll be done. I’ll touch you all night. All you have to do is ask.”

OMG OMG OMG I love this Freakin book!!!!!! It is so damn good. OMG I am in yummy cowboy heaven. This is my first time reading a Elle Casey book, and I am now a total fan girl. This is such a funny, sexy, and sweet love story I was swooning all over the place. I was laughing so hard at times that my husband kept coming and reading over my shoulder and snickering himself.

“It was the best night of my life and not just because you kept calling me King Dong.” I laughed. I couldn't help it. "Oh, how far I've fallen."

What this book is about

Andrea "Andie" Marks has her whole life planned out for her. Marriage, making partner at her law firm, and have children by the time she is 35 years old. She has followed her lifeplan since she was 15 years old except for those 2 days in Vegas for her best friend's bachelorette party. All she remembers about that Vegas trip 2 years ago was getting super drunk and that she slept with a sexy cowboy and the next day he left without a word. Now Andie is engaged to get married to Bradley who fits into her life plan, even though she doesn't really like him and he doesn't treat her well. It's just one week from the wedding and Andie is shocked when the court house says she is already married and can't get a marriage license. Now Andie is off to Oregon to try get a divorce before her fiance finds out.

Sweet Jesus, he's hung. That’s some kind of magic. The way he somehow fits that thing into those pants.

Mack:

I'm so in love with Mack. What is not to love? A sweet, sexy Cowboy with a rockin body and huge mini Mack!!! He was perfect. I swooned and drooled all over my kindle at the things he said OMG!!!!!!!

“I’m engaged.” “No, you’re not,” he growled into my neck. “You’re married. To me. We came first, not him.”

“With every thrust he gave me his response. “You. Are. My. Wife.” The last word came out as a growl."

"You're my wife," he said, only inches away, his hot breath flickering over my lips. "You married me in Las Vegas two years ago." "Yes." "And I'm your husband." I nodded, tears slipping out. He gritted his teeth and growled out, "And this is us, consummating our marriage."

"It's because you're too damn good looking." The second the words left my mouth I heard them and cringed inwardly. "Did I just say that out loud?"

Andie:

I really liked Andie. She was sweet, very serious, and clumsy as hell. She had some sass to her too. She was abused by her mom's boyfriend so she is trying hard to make a better life for herself. So much so that she has total tunnel vision when it comes to her life-plan. Andie made me laugh so hard because she was so awkward and klutzy, but she felt real to me and I was invested in her.

“What are you looking at?” I asked “City slicker. What are you looking at?" “A stupid wookie man-bear-pig who doesn’t know how to mind his own business.”

With him, I knew I could be myself. I could be confident and sexy and in control. I could dream of a life that didn’t involve a plan that had to be followed for the next ten years. I could forget where I came from and who I’d left behind to become the woman I was now

"We're going to have sex again, aren't we?" "He gave me a wicked smile. "Hell yes, we are."

“Once I saw you, I had no choice. I was done for good. You’re the last woman I ever want to be with.”

Mack and Andie have sizzling chemistry, and the sex in this book WOW talk about HOT! DAYUM!!!!! In this book there is two things that normally ruin books for me a love triangle (kinda) with Bradley and Mack and since Andie is married to one man and engaged to the other she was cheating on one of them "technically" but it didn't bother me at all. Not even a little, which is shocking to me, but it was written in a way that didn't upset me in the least. I love Mack's family they're all awesome. The story grabbed me and I couldn't put the book down. I loved everything about this book, but the Star of the book is Mack for me. Mack alone makes me want to give this book 6 stars. I can't wait to read Ian's story.

Below I leave my favorite moment from this book:

“I, Gavin MacKenzie, sexy cowboy man of Baker City, Oregon being of sound mind and hot body do hereby declare that I love you, Andie Marks, lawyer extraordinaire, and want to be married to you until I’m so old, I either die or my pecker falls off. I will have sex with you whenever you want, and I will always give you the option to be on top if that’s what will make you happy. Blowjobs will always be optional but appreciated. I will change diapers when called for, both for our children and for you when you’re old and decrepit. I will never spit in public or burp too loudly or say mean things about your friends. I promise never to raise my hand against you in anger or tell you that you’re useless or threaten to hurt people who you love. Ten-four, over and out, happily ever after. Those are my vows.”

(How not to date someone who acts bipolar and like a coward)

2.5 Stars

* Warning I am going to Rant there will be spoilers*

Signs you might be dating someone who acts like they are Bipolar & a Coward

1. They are like 2 different people

Does your boyfriend or girlfriend smile, crack jokes , and laugh one minute and then rip your head off the next?

2. They are fearful of being with you

Does your boyfriend or girlfriend run from you, push you away constantly, and do they show fear at the thought of being with you?

If so chances are good your are dating a someone who acts like they are Bipolar  & a Coward!

“Don’t love me, Nicolas. Don’t do that.”

WTF Really? I love Christine Feehan and I am a total fangirl, but I gotta keeps it reals. I can't stand Dahlia. OMG she drove me fuckin crazy. She is suppose to be a strong heroine that survived the outside world without any help, and have this kick ass power, but she was one of the biggest Crazy,  Coward I have ever read EVAR!!!!!!!!

“I’m still careful. I don’t know how this all happened with you. I try not to think about it too much or I want to run.”

This is Dahlia the whole book with Nico:

"I want to kiss you Nicolas." "No Nicolas don't touch me you perv." "Hey Nicolas you wanna look at my boobs" (flashes boobs). "God Nicolas why do you keep looking at my boobs in lust you have a problem you perv". I think Nicolas is so good looking. OH GOD I think a man is good looking I need to run away! Kissing Nicolas on a boat. Wow this is fun Kissing Nicolas on a boat. OH GOD Kissing is scary I have to get away( jumps off the boat into gator filled water!) "Lets make love Nicolas." "Maybe we shouldn't make love Nicolas what if I burn you with my powers?" Making love is awesome ! Fireworks everywhere! Wow 3 times in a row what a beast! "Lets snuggle and sleep." OMG I dream we could be happy and together so now I am scared again and need to run away! "What you love me NO Nicolas you can't love me I am unlovable !" "Awe you are so nice to me Nicolas and it scares me." "Awe you are so supportive and understanding Nicolas. STOP IT I can't trust you and I don't want to depend on you!" ( Makes love to Nicolas many many more times) While making love to Nicolas mid stoke he says "Dahila I want to be with you forever". OMG That is scary! "NO Nicolas we can't be together I am not normal, this is scary and I need to be alone I don't trust you even if your penis is inside of me right now, I can't trust anyone!" "What you love me OH GOD the L word is so scary!" While I push you away lets still have sex like every 10 minutes. " What you want to marry? OK, but I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop and I ain't saying the L word!" (LAST SENTENCE ON THE LAST PAGE OF THE BOOK) "Ok I love you Nicolas but if you are playing with my feelings I will set you on fire!"

“Damn it, Nicolas, I hate to whine and feel self-pity. It’s useless. But I can’t do this. I can’t be with all these people and not overload. How in the world do you think there’s going to be a happily ever after? You’ll have to go your way, and I can’t go with you. And there’s Lily.” Her voice broke off and she leaned into him. “I don’t want to read her letter or see her. I don’t. I can’t. She’ll be everything I ever wanted in a sister. Everything I ever remembered, and I won’t be able to have her. I should never have started anything with you. Never.”

“Of the two of us, you’re far more afraid of emotional commitment than I am. I may have limits, but at least I put myself out there. You’re so busy taking care that nothing disturbs your perfect tranquility that you’ve forgotten to live your life.”- Nicolas

Not only was she a coward with Nicolas and their relationship, but she was clearly Bipolar. One minute making jokes and laughin and the next she was hateful or depressed. I can't even tell you how many times she was rocking her self knees tucked up under her chin just rocking like she was having a break down or curling into the fetal position. Her powers sucked. She would be going on about how she can take care of herself and girl power and all that good shit, yet she couldn't be around anyone because their emotions fed her powers, causing a overload of power that would make her sick. When she was overloaded it caused her to blow fire balls out of herself, setting things on fire , puking, passing out, and having seizures! Really? I am suppose to believe she works for the government, sneaking around stealing important things for them. Yea right. I can see it now she sneaks into an office to steal a top secret file. All of a sudden a guard walks by, he has Hemorrhoids bad, and they are driving him crazy. They are Itching so bad all he wants to do is scratch em but he knows the cameras are watching. He gets irritated and bam she is puking, or fire balls are blowing up everywhere. Really I sure no one will notice right! Pfff whatevs!

When you discover you are in fact dating someone who acts Bipolar and like a  Coward the best course of action is to end the relationship.

Poor Nicolas! I like him a lot. He is the silent stone cold type. He tries so hard with Dahlia, that somewhere along the way he turns into a kicked puppy. The whole relationship is him being super supportive, sweet, while begging her to stay with him and give their relationship a try. Which just fed my Hate for Dahlia all the more she took this strong sexy man took all his dignity and turned him into a beggar.

“Don’t do this, Dahlia,” he whispered against her neck when Kaden made his way off the roof. “Stay with me. I know it isn’t easy, but we can find a way.”

“Don’t try to run out on me, Dahlia,”

“Do you have any idea how pathetic I sound, Dahlia? This is classic role reversal. Women beg men to talk about relationships. Men never want to talk relationships. You’re supposed to want this conversation.”

Dahlia, don’t go so far away from me. Nicolas made his tone as intimate as possible. I know you’re tired and upset, and you have every reason to be. If you want to toss your job with the NCIS, I’m behind you all the way. Just don’t put me in with the rest of them.

The only thing I enjoyed about this book at all is the boys. When the Ghostwalkers got together there is such a cute and funny comradery that I couldn't help but love those parts of the book. Which is why this book is a 2.5 star book instead of a 1 star. The guys are the only thing that kept me from smashing my kindle against a wall! I will say that the first time Nicolas and Dahlia have sex was hott, but I didn't enjoy it as much because she was trying to run out on him the next minute. I get that she had a hard life. I can understand some fear and mistrust, but when it is taken to a point of extreme it's just annoying. I can even understand that her powers would make anyone depressed but damn she just kinda had the give up on life attitude. I hate that! Just like I can understand Nicolas going slow and being so understanding to a point, but when he is pleading with her to stay the whole book it's time to cut your loses and find someone else. She so isn't worth it. I am so disappointed with this book. I hope the next one is better. God let the next one be better! Below I leave my favorite moment. No surprise it's with the guys.

"I know you’re holding a gun on me, Nico,” Gator’s voice called from the front room. “Put it away. It’s not very nice when I’ve been so hospitable.” Suddenly Gator was framed in the doorway, grinning at them, his black, unruly hair tumbling into his face and his piercing blue eyes bright with laughter. “Oh, I see you are most friendly with each other. And Lily was so worried.” He turned his head. “Ian, Tucker, come look at this. Our man has found himself a little kitty cat.” “Shut up, Gator, or I’m going to shoot you.” Nicolas put the gun away and looked down at Dahlia. She had the covers pulled up to her chin. Her eyes were enormous and getting bigger by the moment as more GhostWalkers crowded into the doorway to gape at the sight of Nicolas, the loner, in bed with Dahlia. “And you said he didn’t know what to do with a woman,” Tucker Addison accused the tallest of the group, Ian McGillicuddy. “I stand corrected.” Ian gave Nicolas a small salute. Dahlia made a small distressed squeak. Nicolas picked up the gun. “I’m going to start shooting if the lot of you don’t get out and close the door.”

My Review

5 Melting the Ice Princess Stars

"Am I tempting you, Lily? You always look so cool. I always have a mad desire to melt the ice princess."

Wow I love Christine Feehan. I read all of her Dark series and loved them . I put off starting this series because I was afraid it wouldn't hold up to her Dark series. I should have known better than to doubt Christine's mad skills. This book was so dayum good!

"I don't care if they find us locked together. Do you know what it feels like to have you so deep inside me?"

What this book is about

"Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are, Ryland?"

Captain Ryland Miller and his men are the best of the best. They all signed up to let Dr. Peter Whitney do experiments on them in the hopes of turning them into an elite military group with psychic abilities. All is going well; They are growing stronger in their psychic abilities and training. But then some of the men start having seizures, others bleeding on the brain, and some dying. Now they are in cages locked away from each other and being treated like lab rats. Ryland doesn't know who he can trust or what to do all he knows is he has to save his men before anymore die! Dr. Peter Whitney brings his daughter Lily in to help with the experiments and to figure out why they are starting to fail. The second Ryland sets eyes on Lily he knows she is his forever! When Lily's father is murdered leaving Lily a message to save the men and right his wrongs, Lily and Ryland will have to work together with the team to find out who is killing off the men and trying to sabotage the project. Will Ryland be able to keep his men , his woman and himself safe? Will he be able to get Lily to stop over thinking their relationship and trust her heart when it comes to him?

"It isn't a game to me, Lily. I saw you. I knew you were meant to be mine the moment I laid eyes on you. It doesn't matter that we're in the middle of all this bullshit. You're forever. You're real."

Ryland:

"Yes, you can, Lily," he said softly, lifting his head, sucking the taste of her from his fingers, "you're going to take all of me deep inside you where I belong. I want you to know what no other man will ever do for you. I'm going to know you so intimately you're never going to think of leaving me."

Ryland is everything you want in a hero. He is sexy, kick ass, protective, bossy, fun, and sweet all rolled up in a yummy hard body! He is so sweet to Lily making her laugh every time she was sad. I love Ryland, he is so charming. Loyal to his men, strong for Lily and supportive. He alone made this book a 5 star book for me. He was just freakin Awesome.

"Lily, can't you see there's more than just something physical between us? I ache for you, I won't deny it, but I feel sad when you're sad. I want more than anything to make you happy, to know you're safe. I think about you every minute of the day. You refuse to see what's between us. I look at you and see clouds in your eyes when you're looking back. Does it matter so much to you the why of it?"

"Your name is Lily Whitney. You are the woman I want at my side night and day. I want you to be the mother of my children someday. I want you for my lover. I want you for the person I turn to when the world gets to be too much."

"You're magic, Lily, sheer magic. And you're mine, Lily, my everything. I'm drawn to you because you're Lily Whitney with more courage in your little finger than most people have in their entire body. You have a brain, a sense of humor, a smile that knocks me over, and every single time I'm near you, I want to tear your clothes off. And damn it, I'm not going to lose you."

Lily:

"Go away." Her voice groaned the order. "I can't possibly move. Not ever again. Can someone die from making love too many times?" His teeth nibbled on the nape of her neck. "I don't know, but I'm willing to try if you are." It was sheer joy to wake up with Lily in his arms. "I want this for the rest of my life."

Lily for me is great one minute and the next I would want to shake her and I am not the only one since Ryland does shake her a few times in the book! Lily is so very smart she would try to use logic to push Ryland away and that drove me crazy. It was like she had two sides. The smart Ice princess, and the funny, kick ass passionate lover. I love that she is very brave and that she doesn't let any man walk on her. When she figures out that she is in love with Ryland and stops fighting her feelings Then I loved the hell out of her!

"You're making a total ass out of yourself," she pointed out, "but fortunately for you, I'm in a forgiving mood. We elitists learn that at an early age when they put that silver spoon in our mouths."

"Really?" She looked down her nose at him, princess to peasant. "Men obey your orders because of your rank. Women think things out and decide all by their little lonesome what to do." She patted his head, her fingers lingering for just a moment on a spiral curl. "Don't worry, now that I know about your little ego problem, I'll do my best to look all gushy when you pound your chest."

"I do love him and I want to spend the rest of my life with him. This is your home. It will always be your home. You're my mother and no daughter could love you more than I love you. If you truly don't want Ryland and these men here, we will leave. All of us. I'll go with them."

"Just ask him. He thinks he's responsible for the entire world." The flat black eyes swung to taunt Ryland. "And you're making a damn fool out of yourself looking at her all goofy that way. You're making the male gender look bad."

Ryland and Lily have some serious heat! They burnt up my kindle! I love how when Ryland touches Lily she goes from Ice princess to wild woman in no time flat! I love the other team members they are all so funny and loyal. Standing by each other and pickin on each other like brothers. Shadow Games has a great plot, with lots of lovable characters. The world was built up well. Not only was this book smokin' hot , but it was funny. I love it when a book can make me laugh and this book made me laugh and smile a lot. Great read I can't wait to start the next book. Below I leave my favorite moment from this book:

"I don't think you had sleeping in mind," Kaden ventured. "I distinctly heard you say Ryland was interested in bondage. Are you planning on putting cuffs on him, because I want to stay around for that." "You were watching my movies," Arly accused. "What movies?" Gator chimed in. "Are you holding out on us? You have some good bondage flicks and you're not sharing?' "You're all obsessed with bondage," Lily felt compelled to point out.

My Review

 4 Redemption and Vindication Stars

"It will be our home, filled with our love, therefore 'tis as grand as anything I could dream of,"
"Dante, you know you have my love forevermore. I have pledged that to you."

Dark Before the Rising Sun is the 3rd book in the Dominick series and the 2nd book about Dante and Rhea. It picks up right where the last book left off. I liked this one a lot more than Chance The Winds of Fortune. Where as Chance The Winds Of Fortune didn't have enough Dante and Rhea for me, in this book their love took center stage making this a much more enjoyable read!

"Never let anyone turn you against me, Rhea. Promise me that."
"That is why I love you, Rhea. You are so gentle and understanding, loyal and forgiving. When I am lost in my darkest thoughts, I think of you and I no longer feel hatred. Perhaps you were sent to be my salvation. I just pray never to lose the unselfish love you have given me, or fall from that high esteem you seem to hold me in."

What this book is about

The newlyweds Dante and Rhea are back in London. Dante is taking his bride home to Merdraco where he will reclaim his birthright, and start their life together. But nothing is ever that easy. First they will have to face Rhea's Father, false kidnapping charges, an ex lover, a home in ruins, and a few old foes out to destroy and end Dante's life.

"You would be grievously mistaken should you think my husband a lily-livered milksop. And , if I were you," Rhea spoke bravely, "I would not give him another reason to send you into hell, where you should be suffering eternal damnation right now."

"My love. My dearest heart. I don't know what I'd do if I ever lost you. This is one of the blackest days in my life, yet I stand here with you in my arms and I cannot feel despair. I will always triumph,"

Dante and Rhea are so cute in this book. I loved that there is a lot more of them in this book then in the last one. I feel like I really got to know them as a couple and see their relationship evolve. I also got to know them better individually. I loved seeing Dante's vulnerable side it made him feel more real to me. I also loved that Rhea stood by Dante showing him support, love and trust, no matter how bad things got, or looked! Although there are a few small sub-stories going on in this book the main focus is on Rhea and Dante making it flow better. I was glad that Conny and Alastair were in this book a lot. There is a lot more action in this book keeping it from getting boring. I loved the HEA and I feel this book wrapped up the Trilogy nicely.

Below I leave my favorite moment from this book:

"And did I tell you how much I love you?" he queried further. Rhea's eyes lowered. "Many, many times, m'lord, although 'twould be far more believable if you showed me," she said, startling him with the provocative statement. It had indeed been quite a few months since they had made love. Dante glanced over at her, noting her fiery cheeks. "Aye, m'lady. 'Twould seem as if I do too much talking."

My Review

3 Stowaway Stars

"You, sir are beneath contempt. You are not fit to wallow with swine."

"What an insufferable man you are. And whether you are, as you would have me believe, a marquis, or whether you are a tinker, I would still find you the rudest, most vulgar individual I have ever had the misfortune to encounter."

Chance The Winds of Fortune is the 2nd book in the Dominick trilogy. I didn't read the first book, but that isn't a problem. This book can be read as a stand alone. This book has a slow start. There are a lot of details I feel could have been edited out, because they make the book drag, but once it got going it was a okay read.

What this book is about
Dante Leighton is the captain of the Sea Dragon and the Marquis of Jacqobi. He and his crew are after treasure on a sunken Spanish ship that Dante won the map to in a card game. With this treasure he hopes to fund his revenge. Dante finds Rhea Claire Dominick asleep in his cabin on his ship with the map to the treasure laying on his desk. So he believes she is a Spy for another ship wanting to steal the treasure. She tells him that she is Lady Rhea Claire Dominick daughter of the Duke of Camareigh and that she was kidnapped from her home and sold to a slaver ship headed for the colonies. Will Dante believe her? Will Lady Rhea Chaire ever see her family again?

"I shall remember your bravely spoken words, my lady," Dante said against her ear, " when I ask for payment very soon. I look forward to the transaction, for you are a woman of your word, are you not, my dear? You have proudly proclaimed that a dominick's word is never broken, so I foresee no difficulties involved,"

"but you are mine, Rhea, and I shall be the one to take what you have so enchantingly offered. And you have offered it to me, my sweet Rhea,"

While this book was a Decent read it could have been so much better. While I really liked Rhea and Dante. There wasn't enough of them in this book for my liking. I mean this is their book right? Because it doesn't feel like it. I didn't feel there was enough relationship development. They are not really the main focus of the book. They didn't even meet until I was almost 300 pages into a 500 page book. Come on!! There are so many tedious details in this book that it became a little boring at times. In one part of the book there is 2 pages of nothing but details of the things sold in the London markets. 1 whole page talking about what Rhea's room looks like. Giving the reader a mental picture is good, but some things are just overkill! I have to be honest and say what bothered me the most about this book is the main couple is only in this book like 25- 30 % of the book tops. I know more about Rhea's Parents Sabrina and Lucien and their love then I do about Rhea and Dante! The parts that do have Rhea and Dante together are very sweet and I enjoyed them enough to give this book a 3 Star.

Below I leave my favorite moment from this book:

"You sound surprised, my friend, that I should be so frail as to fall in love, and especially with one such as Rhea Claire, who is so different from me. We are like night and day, are we not? Devil and angel? Saint and sinner? We began on a note of mistrust, which still exists, but perhaps now it is because of our vulnerability to one another. I have been cruel to her, frightened her intentionally, played with her , seduced her." Then Dante added softly, "But the game has been well met, Alastair, for she has the power to hurt me far more than I have ever hurt her. I am in love with her."
