Filmed

                 Book Review of Filmed

Title:  Filmed

Series: No Series.  Novel

Author: B.B. Hamel

Date Published: May 15th, 2015

Date Read:  April 30, 2015

The Blurb:Noah Carterson is a bad person.

At least, that’s what he wants me to think. But my life isn’t a movie, and nothing is that simple.

He’s definitely arrogant, filthy, an a**hole, and sexy as hell. He has a player reputation, and I'm pretty sure it's well deserved.

And the fact that Noah's father tried to ruin my mom’s life makes things complicated. Our families are practically at war, and his super intense dad will do anything to keep him in line.

When I get a job at the brand new campus movie theater, I find myself getting closer to Noah than I ever thought possible. He practically runs the place, and everyone that works there has a story about him. I can’t tell if I hate the sight of his confident smile, or if I want him to do all the dirty things he whispers in my ear in the darkness of the empty theater.

Before, I never wondered what kind of person I am. But with Noah’s camera running, I’ll have to decide what makes someone good or bad before the film runs out.

This title contains mature content (explicit sexual situations and mature language), and is recommended for audiences 18+.

My Review

                     3.5 Polka Dots Stars

This is my first time reading B.B. Hamel, and I like her writing style. I liked this book, it was a good read. My one and only problem with this book; the reason I didn't rate it higher than a 3.5 stars is all because of the heroine, Linda! She drove me crazy almost the whole book.

What the book is about
Linda is in college , she bumps into this super hot guy , named Noah. Like literally bumped into him and fell on her butt flashing her polka dot panties at him. She has a huge crush on Noah , but he is such a asshole and man whore that she doesn't know why she likes him so much. Sometimes she thinks there might be more to him, and that under it all he is a good guy at heart. Add the fact that her mother and his father hate each other , there is just no way they can be together, Right?

I loved Noah. I failed to see how he was an asshole at any point in the book. A manwhore, yes, Troubled yes, an asshole, nope! Noah had some daddy issues, and he partied and slept around as his way of dealing (all before he met Linda). He is cocky, playful and sexy. When Noah meets Linda he goes out of his way to get to know her, and he doesn't try to rush her to sleep with him before she is ready. He is honest with her and open. Noah saved the book for me .

Linda annoyed the piss outta me! I found her super immature, judgmental, and at times she was the asshole. She whined almost the whole book about what an asshole and jerk Noah was. Why? Because he called her Polka dots. I thought that was cute. She was the one who listened to all the rumors about him, jumped to conclusions about who he was and judged him without getting to know the real him. She goes off on him a few time, blows him off saying she will go on a date with him and then runs home without telling him why or bye for no good reason, and acts like the jerk she accuses him of being!

Linda did grow up a little towards the end. Even with me feeling no connection to Linda and disliking her, this book was still a good solid 3.5 stars. The plot was cute, Noah was super sexy, and when Linda and Noah got together it was smokin' hot! I would still Recommend this book because it was a enjoyable read. I will try other books by this author!

Book Review of  Reaper's Property (Reapers MC Series)

Series:Reapers MC Series

Author:Joanna Wylde

The Blurb:
Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.

But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.

Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.
Maybe.

My Review

5 Wow this was my first MC book and I am Hooked Stars!!!!!

Ok where to start Wow just wow... I loved this book It starts out with Marie who had just left her abusive piece of crap husband she moves into her brother and mom's trailer (P.S. mom is in jail). Her brother  a loser stoner is working for the Reapers MC.   That is how Marie meets Horse in a so damn funny true trailer trash way.  She is laying out on table outside in a swimsuit top while pour some sugar on me is blastin with the MC pull up.

"It didn’t occur to me that I was glistening with sweat and wearing a bikini top until they turned off the bikes, pulled off their helmets and turned to scope me out. To make my own personal cliché perfect, Def Leppard’s Pour Some Sugar On Me blasted through the radio. I winced – I must look like a white-trash princess from hell, basking outside my trailer in a bikini to outdated butt rock."

Horse: OMG The shit he says one minute I was laughin my ass off the next I was wanting to choke him out, but he was all sexy bad ass hardcore biker. He was funny and crude and it so worked for me.....

“Nope, not Jesus, just a man,” Horse whispered. “Although when women see my dick for the first time, they’ve been known to fall down on their knees and worship me.”

“Fuck, this is gonna piss you off and then you aren’t gonna let me stick my dick in you,” he muttered.

“Do you have to be so crude?” I snapped.
“Have you met me?”
“Who says I’d let you do it anyway?”
“Babe,” he replied in a low, rough voice, raising his eyebrow at me.”

"Marie Caroline Jensen, will you do me the honor of being my permanent bitch?"
I smacked him on the side of his head as he burst out laughing

Marie: Ok Marie wasn't super awesome she was ok, but most of the time I wanted to shake her... She had her good points, but most of the time she was a silly bitch..

So Marie's stupid loser stoner brother steals from the reapers and horse uses that to get Marie I don't wanna give away the whole story, but it was damn good. Tons of action, hott sex, and bad boys.........

“Gonna fuck you now.”
“Sure,” I whispered, dazed. “Not sure I’m gonna be able to participate too much, think you blew a circuit or something.”

“Ruger's in there too. Hands covered in blood so they arrested him. He had to tackle your girl to get the gun away from her. She'd gone all Pulp Fiction on us, ready to defend you by killing all of us if she had to. Crouched over your body like Wonder Woman. Gives me a boner just thinking about it.”

“You’re a pig,” I whispered back. “You know that, right?”
“So far bein’ a pig works for me, babe,” he said. “Gotta go now. Check out the college. Hit the clinic and get some pills. Don’t call your brother. Cook something fuckin’ great for dinner and don’t wear any panties. That’s all I ask.”

“Okay, I’ll go check it out,” I said slowly. “This is weird, you get that? You kidnapping me, holding me hostage and then sending me to school? This isn’t how things like this usually work.”
Horse grinned at me, eyes lazy and satisfied.
“Just roll with it,” he whispered. “And keep doing whatever exercises you do to make your cunt squeeze like that. They got a college degree for that?”

So if you have not read this book you so should.... Damn good book :)

Guardian Of Paradise

Book Review of Guardian Of Paradise

Title:  Guardian Of Paradise

Series: No Series.  Novel

Author: W.E. Lawrence

Date Published: October 3rd 2014

Date Read:  April 23, 2015

The Blurb:
In 1888, beautiful but quite capable Kira Wall was living a challenging and enjoyable life in a relatively isolated culture. However, her world gets turned upside down with the arrival of an Australian merchant ship carrying the evil and deceiving Captain Darcy Coleman along with its handsome doctor, Trevor Marshall. Each man, in his own way, possesses the ability to charm and seduce. For the innocent souls of the remote island paradise, including Kira, they are both intoxicating and will, using different methods, test her will to the limit.

After she reluctantly agrees to be Trevor’s guide, things become unraveled when she suspects he is distracting her from the renegade captain who has his own ulterior, “get rich”, motives for being there. Her situation becomes desperate when no one will listen. The evil captain has a devilishly captivating manner, plenty of "modern" goods with which to woo the islanders, and a clever ability to lie his way out of suspicion. He has also brought a new invention, dynamite.

My Review

4.5 Jungle Lady Stars

This book was so good! It had a very sweet romance, but it also had a great, adventurous plot that pulled me in, and had me dying to find out what would happen next. I read the whole book in one day. I didn't even put it down to eat .(I just held the book with one hand and shoveled my food with the other.) Now I just hope there will be a follow up book, because I want more of Kira and Trevor!

What this book is about

Kira Wall is the daughter of missionaries that came to the island of Alofa when she was a small child. She falls in love with the Island and the natives, who are like family to her. So when her parents die, She stays, feeling this is where God wants her. It's her home, and her calling to help the people of Alofa. The Island has had visiting merchant ships come that were not trustworthy, Failed to take good care of the land, and were unfair to the natives. So when a merchant ship with Captain Coleman showed up, she was leery. When he was overly friendly, offering a extravagant amount of gifts and goods to be able to harvest the fields , she knows her suspicions are right. Now she just has to prove it to the overly trusting locals. As if she didn't have enough to deal with, there is this handsome Doctor that makes her feel all kinds of new things. Not knowing if she can trust Dr. Marshall ,and fighting her growing feelings, will she be able to protect the Island and the natives from being taken advantage of or worse?

Trevor Marshall is very serious about his work, and not so much about the ladies he dates. A bit of a playboy, no woman has been able to grab and hold his interest, until Kira. Trevor has a very cute, playful personality. I loved the part in the book where he was playing ball with the local kids and had this Charlie Brown like ball fumble and landed on his backside. He was a very well rounded and likable character.

Kira Wall made the book for me. She was strong, brave, and sassy! She is protective of those she loves, and does what she thinks is right, no matter what it may cost her. Wise in many ways , she was naive when it came to love and men. She had a very sweet innocence about her, and vulnerability when it came to Trevor. I loved the way she comes out of her shell and becomes a sexually confident woman.

I loved Malana, and Archie Cooper. The parts of the book when you get to see their deep respect and friendship with the main Characters is touching. Trevor and Kira are captivating ,and charming together. The tender, passionate moments in this book are very romantic. I truly enjoyed this book. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because I would have liked more at the end. I liked their HEA, but I would have liked to have had a epilogue. Just a small glimpse into their future together. Other than that this was a great read and I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Historical Romances!

Consumed

Book Review of Consumed (Deep In Your Veins Series)

Title: Consumed

Series:Deep In Your Veins Series

Author:Suzanne Wright

Date Published: December 11th 2014

Date Read:  April 01, 2015

The Blurb:
Sventé vampire Ava Sanchez has a difficult decision to make: should she accept the invitation of the Grand High Master Vampires and join their legion? It will mean leaving behind her brother and her home. It will also mean working with Pagori vampire, Salem McCauley. Unlike the majority of vampirekind, she doesn’t fear Mr. Tall, Blond, and Dauntless…even if he does have some psychopathic traits. In fact, he has a raw sexuality that tempts her to drop her ‘no relationships’ rule and give him exactly what he wants from her – everything.

Salem McCauley doesn’t like anything cute, or sweet, or cheery. Yet he wants Ava with a desperation that’s bordering on obsession. And shockingly, she doesn’t look at him like others do – you know, like they fear he’ll rip out their spinal cord for fun. Now that the legion will be busy hunting the players involved in the creation of an illegal vampiric brothel, there’s no time for pursuing Ava. But Salem makes time, because he never denies himself what he wants and he always holds tight to what’s his. And that’s exactly what Ava is, whether she knows it or not: His.

My Review

4.5 Darkly Possessive Stars

He has lucid moments, though they're few and far between. And he's a warm, cuddly bear at heart."

Oh Yeah that's how it is done! Consumed is the 4th book in the Deep in your veins series. It is the first one of the series that is not about Jared and Sam, and Suzanne Wright Rocked that shit!!!! OMG it was good. So Consumed is about Ava Sanchez who is considering Jared and Sam's invitation to join the all women Legion they are starting up. If she takes it she will be leaving her nest and brother, but she wants to do good in the vampire world. If she takes the job she will have to be around Salem, who she wants more than anything, but she doesn't do relationships. Men always like her at first then they try to change her. So sick of being hurt she has given up on having anything deep, but Salem doesn't want a fling he wants everything. Will she let Salem into her heart or push him away. Can Salem break down the walls around Ava's heart and show her that she is perfect for him just the way she is?

"You smell good. Your scent makes me hard every time. I want to wear it on my skin." His voice was thick with need. " And I want my scent on you."

Salem:

Dayum Salem is dark and hott. He has been hurt bad and it has made him surly, closed off, and overly protective. He thinks he's a failure because he didn't protect the people that meant something to him in the past, when he was human. The guilt eats at his soul. Ava is like sunlight in his dark heart. She makes him smile, and softens the rough edges. I loved Salem with Ava. Salem was sexy, strong and the way he showed Ava that he loved her for who she was. I just melted! He made the perfect damaged bad boy learning to love.

"Do you know why I resisted you for so long? Because I knew that if I had even one taste of you, you'd never be free of me. I thought I could do the right thing and stay away. You're sweet and kind and everything I'm not. I've done a lot of bad things. Things I don't even regret. You can do a hell of a lot better than someone who's as fucked up as I am. But I'm a selfish prick. I've never let anyone keep me from what I want Ever."

"I hope you like the feel of me inside you, baby, because there'll be no one else after me. You'll never take another person inside you. You'll never feed from anyone but me. And no one will ever drink from you but me. Only me."

Ava:

God I loved Ava she was different and I loved that. She totally kicked ass but she was also perky, upbeat, hyper, and just all over the place. I thought she would drive me batty but she didn't. It really worked for her, she played flaky airhead well, but it was an act. Under her bubbly personality she had a endearing vulnerability that made you feel her. She was sweet, playful and funny as hell when she turned on the airhead act.

"Oh, I know you do.... which is why your opinions will now be redirected to '1-800-I-fail-to-give-a-flying-fuck'."

"I don't want gentle, Salem." "And I don't want you in pain." "Yes, you do. Because then even once it's over, I'll still be able to feel you every time I move." A mischievous smile curved her lips. "And you like that idea."

"I don't need Yogi when I have my own bear right here." I rubbed his chest. "So cute and cuddly."

"No, Ava, I'm not. Never mistake me for a good guy." I rolled my eyes. "I know, I know: you're the biggest, baddest, scariest thing out there." He tilted his head. "You're not afraid of me at all, are you?" "You're too sweet and cute to be scary." His scowl deepened. "I'm not sweet, and I'm not cute." "Cutely manly, then."

Ava and Salem together are sweet and sexy. Cute and playful . They had that opposites attract thing going on. They complemented each other so well. She picked on him and calmed him down making him live a little. She saw good in him and he made her take things more seriously . He gave her a feeling of safety and acceptance. They had tons of chemistry and passion. I loved how he kept picking her up by the back of her shirt and carrying her around. The plot was great and flowed well. I was hooked from beginning till end. I loved getting to see Jared and Sam , they are my favorite couple, and it was nice that they had a pretty good size role in this book too. Consumed was a great read and I would recommend this book and this whole series to anyone who loves Paranormal Romance. Below is my favorite moment in this book:

"You look-" I froze as two farting sounds split the air. I looked at Sam and Jared only to find that they were both scowling as they pulled out whoopee cushions from under the white chair covers. Knowing exactly who was responsible, I shot the guys- all of whom were shaking with silent laughter- a snarl. That was when they smiled, revealing blackened teeth. A loud giggle popped out of Ava, which acted as a catalyst. Suddenly everyone, even the damn Prelate, was laughing... other than myself and Chico. "They're dead," he mouthed to me, which I nodded in agreement.

Taste Of Torment

Book Review of Taste of Torment (Deep In Your Veins Series)

Title: Taste of Torment

Series:Deep In Your Veins Series

Author:Suzanne Wright

Date Published: January 31st 2014

Date Read:  July 19, 2014

The Blurb:
It’s been five months since vampire Sam Parker Bound herself to Jared Michaels, her powerful co-commander within the Grand High Master vampire’s personal legion. Life as a Bound couple has been going just fine…until the Grand High Master announces he will be stepping down from his position and wants Sam and Jared to take his place. Oh joy. Despite Sam’s reservations, she agrees to ascend. But something very powerful has surfaced; something that is quickly decreasing the vampire population and could steal the lives of people close to Sam. At the same time, she finds herself under the scrutiny of vindictive vampires accusing her of exploiting her position as a commander – something that would threaten her ascension. Under the watchful eyes of people who would love nothing more than to strip her of her title, Sam and Jared must continue to conceal her hybrid status and find a way to fight this power that nothing before them has ever been able to overcome. If not, they stand to lose not only the people they hold close, but their future as the Grand High Pair.

Warning: This novel features a female vampire who is a ray of blunt, obstinate sunshine, a possessive alpha male vampire who considers her his only weakness, lots of bad words, some dirty talk, and steamy explicit sex.

Date Published: January 30th 2013

Date Read:  July 18 th 2014

The Blurb:
It’s just over a week until Sam will be Binding with Jared, and the only thing she wants is to spend that time relaxing and preparing for the ceremony. Unfortunately, she seems to be asking too much of fate, because suddenly she’s lumbered with a number of distractions that have the potential to postpone, or even cancel, the Binding. There’s a guarded fiancé to crack, a complicated assignment to deal with, Jared’s ex to alienate, and a bunch of snobbish Master Vampires to win over – or offend, whichever. On the upside, things couldn’t possibly be any worse, could they?

Actually, yes they could. Due to a cruel twist of fate, something strange is happening to Sam –something that is changing her in ways she doesn’t like or understand. With the help of Jared and those closest to her, she has to not only handle the threats to the Binding Ceremony, but find a way to fix what has been done to her – and fast.

My Review

 Binding  Stars

So in the second book we pick up 9 days before Jared and Sam's binding ceremony and all they want to do is enjoy the week long binding parties and relax before the binding but all hell breaks loose. This book is action pack tons of drama with a side of slutty ex girlfriend/sire drama. Sam and Jared are great Still love them to pieces. I love their team Denny God love him makes me laugh so hard......

Of course they kick ass and they do it together the binding ceremony was beautiful with a little touch of funny from the guys and Evan's speech, but what I enjoyed the most was the end of Magda cuzz she so had that coming. Great book on to the third!
